Conduct Disorder
Conduct Disorder (CD) is a mental health condition diagnosed in children and adolescents characterized by a persistent pattern of behavior that violates societal norms and the rights of others. Symptoms may include aggressive behaviors toward people and animals, destruction of property, deceitfulness, and serious violations of rules, such as bullying, theft, and physical fights. These behaviors lead to significant impairment in social, academic, or family functioning and must be present for at least 12 months for diagnosis.

Symptoms of Conduct Disorder (CD) include a persistent pattern of behaviors that violate societal norms and the rights of others. Common signs include aggression toward people and animals, such as bullying or fighting; destruction of property through vandalism; deceitfulness, including lying and theft; and serious violations of rules, such as running away from home or truancy. These behaviors typically lead to significant impairment in social, academic, or family functioning and can manifest in various settings.
At Owlbridge Wellness, our treatment for Conduct Disorder (CD) focuses on a comprehensive approach tailored to the individual’s needs. We offer cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help individuals understand and change negative behavior patterns, along with family therapy to improve communication and resolve conflicts within the family unit. Our behavioral interventions, such as parent training programs, equip parents with effective strategies for managing their child's behavior. In some cases, we may prescribe medication to address co-occurring conditions like ADHD or anxiety. We also emphasize ongoing support and monitoring to track progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
